Introduction
The infamous Call of Duty has been with us for so long, and from Call of Duty One to Four they were great games. But lets be honest the series has gone down hill lately, mostly because Treyarch and Activsion have thrown the same garbage in our face again and again. Though they promised us great new innovations we were left with nothing in return. Now Battlefield has seen great innovations from the first till four, and all the Battlefield Bad Company's. Though it seems like their isn't much change between Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 there are a lot of improvements and advancements.
Call of Duty Ghosts - Campaign
In the early years, Call of Duty's story's were quite impressive and drew you in and you actually cared about the characters. As of lately the story's have been quite weak and are the same repetitive story. Basically some crazy leader wants to destroy america and you do a bunch of missions to stop them.
Everyone is tired of Call of Duty's lame story's, even though we all know its mostly just a multiplayer game but either they should give us a better story or leave story out completely.
Battlefield 4 - Campaign
Now i'm going to be honest i really enjoy Battlefield 4, but when it comes to their campaigns, well lets say it isn't their strong suit either. When Battlefield first implemented a campaign system i said to myself "Why change what's perfect" Battlefield doesn't need a campaign its fine without one. But they continue to make a single player experience anyway, "If you can call it a experience" yet each one is dry and not intruguing and you don't get involved in the the characters at all, even in the latest installment Battlefield 4 i still wasn't drawn into the characters. I have to admit i liked the characters more then usually and some of the scenes were moving, also some of the segments had amazing effects.
Call of Duty Ghosts - Graphics
Well when Call of Duty started, its graphics were on par with the rest of the games out, but lately it has been behind by quite a bit. Probably because all they do is slightly update the same engine. Now mind you graphics isn't everything, but when you are a generation or two behind something has to change. I mean lets be honest here, their game looks like a cartoon compared to the current roster of games out.
Battlefield 4 - Graphics
There is no doubt that Battlefield is superior to Call of Duty in graphics. The Frostbite engine is complete excellence when it comes to graphics. The level of detail is incredible, not to mention the amazing textures in use. Its one of the coolest thing to see particles flying around and buildings crumbling, explosions everywhere, and bullets soaring past you.
Call of Duty Ghosts - Multiplayer
Now i have to say i have always enjoyed Call of Duty's multiplayer, especially Modern Warfare one & two. Call of Duty has great fast paced gameplay, and takes a bit of skill and quickness to master, BUT though this is fun, over the past couple years, nothing has changed. You can keep gameplay the same while making great new innovations, i don't want the same exact thing "Including bugs" over and over again. One of the biggest changes that should of been made or should of been at least a patch fix, is the spawns. You literally spawn right into someone, or sometimes the spawns don't change fast enough and someone is just camping and spawn killing. There is also not a good diversity of gamemodes, there is pretty much just Team Deathmatch, which is what everyone plays. Yes, they have a Domination mode where you capture points, but somehow this mode isn't implemented well and ends up pretty much just being a Team Deathmatch. They also have Kill Confirmed, which is basically Team Deathmatch only a when you kill someone they drop a dog tag that you have to pick up for points and the enemies can pick up the tag and deny you the points. I don't want spin offs of the same game mode, i want diverse modes, gameplay fixes, gameplay innovations and for god sake better guns.
Battlefield 4 - Multiplayer
Wow, just....wow...i have to say i thought Battlefield's 4 mutliplayer was going to be the same as Battlefield 3. I was dead wrong, though its similar, it is another experience altogether. From drastic map changes and whether changes, to massive scale battles to small Squad/Special ops firefights Battlefield 4 multiplayer is something to behold. Though the game had some big bugs at launch they actually fixed them unlike Call of Duty Ghosts, though the game still has a few glitches here and there its nothing to complain about considering the size of the game. The game also has a great diversity of maps from open grasslands to islands to large scale city's Battlefield's attention to detail and map design is nothing short of breathtaking. The game ALSO unlike Call of Duty does have a nice array of gamemodes to choose from, they all make you feel like you completed something or make you think like you are a real soldier. Every battle is like a real war simulation and i give credit and thank Dice for the phenomenal game that we will enjoy and remember for years to come.
