The beloved Elder Scrolls series has been drawing us in for years, with each new release we get a more immersive and spectacular world. Now lovers of The Elder Scrolls everywhere have been asking for a Online or MMO for the Elder Scrolls, and they got one! The Elder Scrolls Online trailer excited fans everywhere and when they heard it was hitting consoles everyone got even more excited. But the excitement was short lived when people heard there might be a subscription fee, most said they wouldn't mind it if the game was good enough. Well soon Bethesda and ZeniMax confirmed the Pay-to-Play system. Some were upset and some didn't mind, yet it still stirred a bit of a controversy over whether or not this was a outdated way of doing things and if console users would accept it.
Now as all this nonsense was happening we later find out good ol' ZeniMax decides to inform us all that there will be an in-game store where you can buy cosmetic items...Whoa! Whoa! What? Let me break this down for you guys just in case you are missing it. Let me just give a little overview of the triple dipping into cash here.
ZeniMax the money hungry bast....(Lets be professional here, and leave that last part out.)
1.Retail sale of game: 59:99$ (43.68€)
2.Monthly subscription to play:$14.99/month (€12.99 / £8.99)
3.Cosmetic in-game store Who knows how much $$$/€€€
Do you see now? Well I can tell you right now I am not buying this game, I don't care how good this its a sense of self esteem at this point. I will not be apart of this greedy scam, I love Elder Scrolls but this is ridicules. So I say farewell Elder Scrolls Online.
